The waters became my womb, and the sea gave me my name.
Discover Her Origin StoryI entered the waters as Shah Dixon.
The waves came fierce and sudden—
the first struck me down,
the second covered me completely.
I could not breathe,
and fear whispered, “This is the end.”
But in the deep I heard a Voice:
“This will pass. Brace yourself. Hunker down,
and you will not be swept away.”
So I yielded to the waters.
And when they released me,
the Voice spoke again:
“You went under as Shah Dixon.
You rise as Shah Amara.
When you step from the sea,
do not look back.”
And so it was.
The waters became my womb,
and the sea gave me my name.
From that day, I walked forward,
never again who I was,
but who I was called to be.
This is a soft landing for women dismantling their faith — a sacred space for the ones the old story no longer fits.

Shah Amara is the High Priestess of The Divine Feminine — leading a sacred uprising of Black American women who are done shrinking, done apologizing, and done bowing to systems that were never built to hold them.
This is not religion. This is remembrance. This is sisterhood, ritual, sensuality, and sovereignty woven into one breathtaking tapestry — bold enough to terrify the empire, soft enough to hold your tears.
